View large XML files in the browser
Exports from portfolio systems, data feeds and message archives easily reach tens of megabytes — too much for a text editor's syntax highlighting, and unreadable as raw text anyway.
- Virtualised tree: only the rows on screen are rendered, so scrolling stays fluid with hundreds of thousands of nodes.
- Search across element names, attributes and values jumps to each hit and opens the path to it.
- Errors first: after validation, branches that contain errors are flagged with a count, so you open only what matters instead of expanding everything.
- Diagram on demand: the graphical view lays out the branches you expand, not the whole document.
Limits on this site
Files up to 50 MB and 500,000 nodes. For bigger files, or files that must not leave your network,
run the viewer yourself and raise the
limits (MAX_UPLOAD_MB, MAX_XML_NODES).
For editing large files, the desktop app FreeXmlToolkit by the same author has a schema-aware XML editor.
